Wise Copyright © 2013 Bob Stoess As I look back on my lifetime, I see the many who have mentored my life. I see the friends, the neighbors, the educators, the pastors, the church leaders, the Sunday School teachers, the proprietors, the business people, and the coaches who have meant so
much to my development. I praise and admire each of these, but none could compare to the lessons that I learned from my parents. The reason they meant so much to me is they carried out the lessons with care, compassion, kindness, and love. I always knew that I was truly loved. They showed me their own footprint in this world and challenged me to exceed the attainments they had
achieved. They taught me to exude compassionate caring to all I meet in life. I must appreciate my neighbor, if I am to care for myself. I must meet the needs of the helpless, if I am to be able to provide for my own needs. I must share of myself and my worth, if I am to be able to grow and receive true understanding in life. I must be an understanding follower, if I am to be an able leader.
